COMPACTION IN EXCAVATION
Compaction improves the stability of soils and increases the bearing capacity of foundations and roadways. It also reduces erosion.
We keep a variety of equipment available in our inventory in order to be sure we have just the right tools to get the job done properly for you.
INFILLING SERVICES
As an excavation contractor, one of the services we offer our customers is infilling. This involves filling in a hole or depression in the ground with material such as dirt, gravel, or concrete.
Depending on the purpose of the infilling, we may use different methods and materials. For example, if the goal is to level out an area for construction, we would use a layer of compacted fill dirt.
If the infilling is being done to prepare an area for landscaping, we might use topsoil mixed with compost. Infilling can be a simple and cost-effective way to improve the appearance and function of a property.
EXCAVATION FOR HOME ADDITIONS
We can help with everything from site preparation to foundation installation, so you can rest assured that your addition will be stable and safe. If you're planning on adding an addition to your home, you'll need to excavate the area first.
This is where Two & One comes in. We'll work with you to determine the best way to infill the area and prepare it for construction. We'll also make sure that the area is properly graded and compacted to minimize the risk of future foundation problems.
In addition, we can help you choose the right type of fill material for your project. Whether you're using gravel, sand, or something else, we'll make sure that it's properly compacted to provide a solid foundation for your new home addition.
FOUNDATION EXCAVATION SERVICES
Foundation excavation a big job that we as residential excavation contractors are happy to do.
Once the location has been determined, the contractor will begin to excavate the land. This process can be quite involved and may take several days to complete.
After the excavation is complete, the contractor will then backfill the hole and compact the soil. This process is essential in order to create a solid foundation for the home.
GRADING SERVICES
Grading is done by first removing any obstacles that might impede water flow, such as large rocks or trees. Then, the land is shaped so that it slopes downwards in the direction that water needs to go. Finally, smaller details are taken care of by hand in order to create a smooth finished product.
All of this work ensures that water will drain properly and not cause any problems for the construction site. Grading can be used to prepare a site for construction to remedy drainage problems, to stabilize an area against erosion, or simply to improve its appearance.
We'll work with you to create a plan that meets your specific needs, and we'll always keep your budget in mind.
BACKFILLING AND EXCAVATION SERVICES
There are many different types of backfill, but most consist of a granular material such as sand, gravel or crushed stone. Backfill also helps to maintain the shape of an excavation and can provide some resistance to underground water movement.
We will work with you to determine the best way to grade your property, taking into account the slope, soil type, and vegetation. We also have a variety of equipment to get the job done quickly and efficiently.
In order for backfill to be effective, it needs to be placed properly and compacted thoroughly. If done correctly, backfilling can help ensure the stability of an excavation site and protect against future damage from weather or groundwater erosion.
